The more time we spend with Charley, the more his true German Shepherd (dare we say Swiss Shepherd) self reveals itself. He reminds us of exactly what a German Shepherd puppy would be. He LOVES structure and training that follows a consistent pattern; our trainer says he is “whip-smart” and “highly trainable.” He THRIVES on learning. Charley has been at the top of his class in our Green Level community training groups. He LOVES his people and LOVES to play, especially with another confident dog he looks to as a role model. Like many shepherds, Charley is generally suspicious of new people and situations. Typically a bark first, ask questions later and a fiercely loyal and constantly cautious, policy. We would LOVE his perfect family to have some breed experience and have a resident confident dog to help Charley find his best, lovable self.
