Kelly moved from Boise to the Wood River Valley in February of 2018 and is thrilled to be working at the Animal Shelter of the WRV in the Community Campaign Coordinator role! As the Community Campaign Coordinator, Kelly supports the development team and capital campaign endeavors. The opportunity to work for the Best Nonprofit in the Valley (eight years in a row), support animal welfare and try not to adopt each puppy that comes through the door is downright dreamy.

Originally from Seattle, Kelly grew up spending time with her family in the Wood River Valley and first moved to Ketchum in 1999 after completing a BS in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego. Kelly left the WRV in 2006 and returned to Seattle to continue working in the Outdoor Industry and Professional Sports, while earning her MA from Seattle University in Sports Administration and Leadership. Life changes brought Kelly from Seattle to Boise in 2013, and she has been fortunate to be back “home” in Idaho ever since.

Kelly enjoys building relationships with people from all walks of life and experiencing as many cultures from around the world as possible. The quality of life and lifestyle both humans and furry friends get to experience in the WRV and Idaho is a constant source of joy for Kelly and her recent shelter pup, Finnegan. She has been fortunate to enjoy the glorious outdoors with many doggie soul mates and one cat – Archie Poo Bear. She can be found anywhere dogs are welcome, tree skiing, river running, wandering through the aspens and planning life around good people, food, travel and football.
