The Marmaduke Society was first established in 2000 as an annual major donor giving circle. It was named for the popular cartoon character, an honored and beloved canine companion.

Members of the Marmaduke society receive a “virtual adoption” of one of our shelter pets. When that pet is adopted, a “happy tail” update is sent, along with the next virtual pet. Marmaduke membership donations help underwrite the costs of care for these pets and other vital Shelter services.

There are several ways to join the Marmaduke Society (membership is renewed annually):

  • Make a paddle-up donation of $1,000 or more at the Dog Days of Summer annual benefit
  • Make a gift of $1,000, or more
  • Join the Monthly Giving Program
  • Join the Paws Forever Legacy Circle by including Mountain Humane in your estate plans (active link to page) (this grants you permanent Marmaduke membership)

We are so grateful to our Marmaduke Society Members! Your generosity makes it possible for us to save animals’ lives and change people’s lives 365 days a year.
