Sara grew up outside of Blackfoot, Idaho, on a small acreage farm. She has grown accustomed to hearing over the years that she has too many animals, but she has always had a soft spot for rescue critters. During high school, she volunteered at the Blackfoot Humane Society from its inception, and took home animals from the municipal shelter quite a number of times. She also participated in an organization which helped young people train service and therapy dogs.
After living in a handful of western states, working in public land management, and dabbling in automotive mechanic repair, Sara had the opportunity to move with her spouse to beautiful central Idaho. Especially after adopting from the ASWRV, Sara is very thrilled to be a part of Mountain Humane in its new facility, and to be able to help so many animals in their journey to find loving and forever homes.
