Kimberly Slater
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Taking care of animals has always been a part of Kimberly’s life growing up on her family’s farm in Jerome. She started volunteering with a local animal rescue mainly, doing In-home microchipping services and vaccines a few years ago and decided to combine her love for working with animals and her interest in health sciences together to become a Vet Tech. She started her journey at Mountain Humane in 2022 as an Animal Care Provider, which was how she found her canine companion Alfie, who had come in as a stray that fall. She now works in the Spay and Neuter Clinic as a Veterinarian Technician’s Assistant where she is learning all kinds of things to help her in her schooling. She and her fiancé live in
Shoshone and you’ll usually find her out in the yard planting something new in the flower garden or in the house working on a new hobby.
