July is famously known for the "dog days of summer" — but at Mountain Humane, it was all about the kittens and puppies. Small paws were headed to forever homes left and right this month!

Kittens flew out the door almost as fast as they came in, but it was the adoption of an adult cat that stole our hearts: Mama June! Transferred to us pregnant, she was welcomed into a foster home right away. After her kittens were weaned, it became clear Mama June didn't want to live indoors and be cuddled . . .
