The Barkin’ is a thrift store in Hailey, Idaho run by Mountain Humane. All the proceeds from The Barkin’ go directly to funding Mountain Humane.
Both shopping and donating to The Barkin’ directly helps the animals!
Oversized Items to Donate?
Do you have large items that you’d like to donate to The Barkin’? We can pick them up for you! We’ll bring our box truck to your home and load it all in! Please include pictures of the furniture along with a phone number and address to Schedule a pick up.
Donations We Are Unable to Accept
It’s hard to say “no thank you” to a donation when those donations help to fund our programs. Occasionally though, we need to turn away some items due to safety, health concerns, or difficulty in reselling them. Here are a few items we must turn away:
- Sleeper Sofas
- Mattresses or Box Springs
- Tubed Televisions
- Children’s Car Seats
- Large Appliances or White Goods* – washer/dryer, large refrigerators, etc.
- Construction Materials* – tiles, sinks, fixtures, carpet, padding, etc.
- Hazardous Materials that are Toxic, Flammable, or Explosive – paints, solvents, gasoline, ammunition, etc.**
- Any items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet current safety standards – for more info: www.cpsc.gov**
- Any items that are heavily soiled or broken beyond reasonable repair**
