Carla Goodwin

Carla was born and raised in Mexico. Throughout her childhood, she would watch Discovery Channel nature documentaries and play pretend to care for and tend to her stuffed animals, hoping to one day work with real animals. In 2006, Carla moved to Nacogdoches, Texas, to pursue a BS in Wildlife Biology. After graduation, she married her zoology lab partner, and in 2014, she, her husband, a 6-month-old baby boy, and a restless pup moved to Hailey, Idaho, to discover the wonders of the West. Carla has four years of kennel experience and four years as a veterinary technician in private practice. She is working on her Veterinary Technician degree and hopes to be certified (CVT) shortly. Carla manages the busy household schedule with a husband, two school-grade kids, two dogs, and seven chickens. When Carla is not working or studying, she can be found reading, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors with her family.
