Daniel Aja, DVM

Dr. Aja served as Chief Medical Officer for AmeriVet Veterinary Partners where he was responsible for leading the development and management of 214 veterinary hospitals spread across 37 states in the U.S. He also served as Chief Medical Officer for Mars Banfield where he played a crucial role in driving both internal and external veterinary medicine initiatives across a network of 1,100 clinics. Dr. Aja directed the U.S. professional and veterinary affairs division at Hill’s Pet Nutrition for 5 years.
Dr. Aja has a rich history in veterinary private practice, dedicating 26 years to serving pets, including 22 years as the owner of Cherry Bend Animal Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan. In 2005, he was elected President of the American Animal Hospital Association.
A proud alumnus of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, Dr. Aja earned both his BS and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees there. He currently resides in Sun Valley, Idaho, with his wife Shannon and their three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
