Deborah Mello

Deborah and her husband Ray fell in love with Sun Valley while they were still living in New York. They have owned property in the area since 1987 and built their forever home in 2001.

After spending 15 years in Seattle as SVP/Financial Advisor with BOA/Merrill Lynch, Deborah retired in 2010 and moved to Sun Valley full time.

Since that time, Deborah has been active serving as Treasurer for Sun Valley Music Festival (formerly Sun Valley Summer Symphony) for 6 years and currently is still sitting on the Board. She also served on the board of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley.

Love of travel has made it difficult to have a forever pet (so far), but she is a great foster parent to 2 poodles, Tessa and Chance, when their owners are traveling. Deborah enjoys biking and hiking, music and the company of great friends. Love and compassion for animals has drawn her to her service at Mountain Humane.
